Glendalough Fire Side Workshops
Fireside Talks are small, intimate gatherings at Axe Club Glendalough where the outdoors takes centre stage. What could be better than gathering by the fire under a starry winter sky in our riverside venue – sharing good company, yummy pizza, hot sauna and cold plunge while learning something new? That’s exactly what Fireside Talks at Axe Club Glendalough are all about. Join us for a 3 hour winter adventure – 1 hour workshop, 1 hour sauna and 1 hour pizza.
It’s the perfect way to escape the ordinary this winter: connect with nature, pick up a new skill, and share a memorable evening outdoors.
€30 per person (incl VAT) and max 15 people per event.

15th Nov, Sat 6pm –Sound, Sight and Smell: Connecting with Nature through Senses with Kamila from Nature To Go.
Travel through time as fire and ice collide – volcanoes, glaciers, and the wild forces that shaped our landscapes. Gather by the fire for stories, conversations and a short journaling session to capture the sparks of inspiration nature stirs in us.
22nd Nov, Sat 11am – Coffee Adventures Outdoors with Nino Marcanic Coffee Master
Nothing tastes better than coffee brewed in the wild. Learn how to roast beans over open flames, master the perfect outdoor brew, and sip your creation by the fireside – an adventure for every caffeine-loving explorer.
29th Nov, Sat 6 pm, – Fire and Ice: Tales from the Earth with Anthea Lacchia, Nature Tales and Trails
Slow down, breathe deep, and let the forest do the rest. This guided taster session will show you how to tune into your senses while immersed in the sounds of the woods and the river – leaving you grounded, refreshed, and more connected to nature.
13th Dec, Sat 6 pm – Flavour of the Game: Venison by Fire with Ashley Glover, Irish Deer Commission
The local hunter Ashley Glover will share his insights into sustainable deer management and the role deer play in our native landscape. Learn about deer conservation, management and how to get started in hunting in Ireland. The evening finishes with a hands-on taste of outdoors as we cook skewers of locally hunted venison over open flames.
